What is the recovery after hairline reduction surgery?

Sutures are removed during the one week follow up visit. Patients will be instructed to wear a compressive head wrap dressing generally for the first 48 hours. As the surgical site heals, there will be a degree of swelling that extends down the forehead and along the scalp, resolving over the first few weeks. Numbness of the scalp is a common sensation that will return in a similar time course.
