Following brow lift surgery, patients can expect some degree of swelling, bruising, and numbness. Bruising and swelling typically take one to two weeks to resolve. Generally, any discomfort that patients experience can be managed with medication. Bandages applied after surgery are typically removed a day after surgery, while sutures and staples are typically removed at your one week follow up appointment. At subsequent follow up appointments the incision lines will be assessed, and photographs will be taken to assess improvements from surgery.
