How is a lip lift performed?

A lip lift is a surgical procedure often performed under local anesthesia. The surgeon will lift the upper lip to achieve a beautiful, desired shape. Dr. Song will design the segment of skin to excise to hide the incisions within natural creases along facial aesthetic borders, effectively shortening the distance between the upper lip and the nose. The upper lip will be turned slightly outward so that more of the inner pink structure of the lip is revealed.
